Thanksgiving Warm-Up Pie

Prebaked pie crust

filled with custard made of:

4 eggs*, beaten with
2 cups half and half
1/2 cup sugar
grated nutmeg
pinch salt

heated with vanilla bean
remove from heat before boiling
stir, cool slightly, and carefully stir in juice of

2 meyer lemons (with some lemon zest)*
2 tangerines*

sprinkle with cinnamon and bake at 325 for half an hour

*ingredients sourced from farmer’s market
